Has iPod's hit parade stalled?

After years of cranking out hit iPod models, has Apple Computer hit a wall? The company hasn't had a significant update to its product line this year, with the only change being the addition of a smaller-capacity 1GB iPod Nano in February.

BBC News Begins Video Podcast Trial

BBC News has begun a 12-month trial, under which it is making available free video podcasts based on its flagship "Ten O'Clock News" and "Newsnight" programs. It is currently offering three separate video podcasts at http://www.bbc.co.uk/newspodcasts.

BBC plans DAB add-on for MP3 players

The deets are slim, but they come straight from a BBC News article, so we're thinking there just might be some weight to them. Apparently the UK's BBC is planning their very own DAB device to act as "clip-on" addition to current MP3 players.

PC World sells iPod transmitters in UK

UK retailer PC World is selling FM transmitters for iPods across its stores - even though they can't legally be used in the UK just yet. The Independent explains that PC World has decided to make the move because the company expects UK regulator Ofcom to finally declare such devices to be legal by autumn. As such, the retailer added the products to its shelves today, but will warn customers they are not for UK use.
