Two companies have released iPod guides to help those traveling to Germany for the tournament. MyCityMate has created a free 12-city guide that contains roughly 750 venues—from restaurants to bars and clubs to points of interest—for the host cities in Germany. Coolgorilla, who recently released an iPod World Cup guide with schedule and player information, has announced a new German translation guide for the iPod.

Apple have released an upgraded U2 iPod with 10 additional gigabytes of space (making it 30GB), which holds about 7,500 songs. It will also display video and photos. Super-fans might froth a bit more over the unit, especially since it comes with a coupon for 30 minutes of exclusive U2 video that can only be found at on iTunes.
